Bruschetta

Bruschetta brings brightness and everyone’s appetite to the table. Dice Tomatoes in 1/3 inch cubes and place them in a sieve. Mix drained tomatoes with chopped fresh Sweet Basil and place a scoop on a toasted, garlic rubbed slice of baguette. This will kick off a great evening.

Horned Melon / Kiwano

It looks like this. It is known as Horned Melon, Kiwano, Jelly Melon or Melano and native to a region of the Kalahari Desert in Africa. You can eat the seeds and the clear gelatinous part around the seeds. It tastes like green Bananas. It makes an interesting natural sauce for Yogurt or Salad.
